An immersive wellness retreat blending nature, tranquility and luxury spa facilities

Set within a secluded woodland setting, this wellness retreat is conceived as a quiet dialogue between architecture and landscape, bringing together a spa and a collection of boutique lodges.

Terracotta tiles and clay-plastered walls introduce a soft, earthy warmth to the spa buildings, grounding them in their natural surroundings. The sequence through the wellness spaces is deliberately fluid, guiding guests from the sheltered pool to the natural pond and out onto timber decking that sits lightly within the landscape.

Each transition is designed to deepen the connection to the forest beyond, allowing nature to play an integral role in the restorative experience.

Extending the retreat beyond the spa, a series of boutique lodges float above the pond, offering guests a place to fully immerse themselves in the setting. Inspired by the simplicity of Scandinavian log cabins, their architecture is modest and natural in form, ensuring the lodges sit comfortably within the woodland.

Inside, warm materials, generous glazing and carefully considered detailing create calm, inviting interiors. By day, the lodges are filled with natural light and reflections from the water, while in the evening they become cosy, contemplative retreats — reinforcing the sense of escape and wellbeing that defines the project.
